English in Year 9 takes the skills you have formed in Year 8 and builds upon them to expand your knowledge to a much more advanced array of devices and methods to succeed in your Reading and Writing. It also starts to prepare you for the years beyond thsi and your GCSEs.

 

Over the course of the year, you study four main topics:

• Non Fiction - Travel Writing

• Conflict Poetry

• A Christmas Carol

• Romeo and Juliet
